Diana is accepting new clients in May 2026!
Hi, I’m Diana, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me!
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto Scarborough, where I double-majored in Mental Health and Linguistics. I have professional experience in crisis support, as well as in community and university mental health support and advocacy.
As a first-generation African Canadian, I understand the complexities of navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and the stigma surrounding mental health. I also recognize how overwhelming and isolating experiences like trauma and anxiety can feel when you’re carrying them on your own. My goal is to offer you a safe, non-judgmental space where you can slow down, process what’s coming up for you, and begin to make sense of your inner experience, so you can finally exhale.
My approach to therapy is rooted in building self-awareness. I believe that insight is a powerful tool. When we begin to understand the origins of our thoughts, emotions, and patterns, we gain the ability to challenge them, shift them, and move beyond the feeling of “I don’t know why.” I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I am committed to creating a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Using a client-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based lens, I work alongside you to explore your identity, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life!
