About One Peace Therapy
Holistic Wellness Therapy
One Peace Therapy is about holistically supporting our clients to achieve their goals. We explore the root of our clients concern(s) for more sustainable growth as one integrates their healing with the present.

Our Mission
Provide holistic wellness therapy to Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) and Non-BIPOC individuals, couples, families, and groups across Canada. We believe that someone is more than their concern(s) and how one was culturally raised significantly impacts how they navigate their spaces. Although we support an individual regardless of their identity, we specialize with those who identify as BIPOC.

Our Vision
Providing holistic wellness therapy by creating spaces of safety, psychoeducation, community, and healing for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) persons virtually and in-person.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question you’d like to ask? I’m committed to giving my clients the best care and experience that I can. There’s no such thing as a bad question when it comes to mental health. Check out the answers to the FAQs below, and do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.
Psychotherapy is essentially "talk therapy" that assists and supports persons, with mental health concerns, to improve their current life situation(s) and overall well-being. Psychotherapy encourages and supports people to develop healthy and functional coping mechanisms with an individual's unique challenging concerns. Psychotherapy can be brief or long term; much of the work depends on the individual and their concern(s). Overall, psychotherapy promotes healing and growth!
How Do I Know I Am Ready For Therapy?
Clients always know when they need support and are ready for therapy. This moment of realization sometimes occurs when current coping mechanisms are no longer adaptively functioning and things are feeling more difficult to manage than previously. However, each client has their unique reasons as to how they know they are ready for therapy.
How Does Confidentiality Work?
It is a therapist's ethical duty to breach confidentiality if:
-
A client is at harm to self or other(s).
-
A child (under the age of 18) or a senior (65+) is at risk of harm.
-
A client's files are subpoenaed by the court.
-
A client experiences a health emergency during a session.
Outside of these reasons, your personal information (including what is discussed during sessions) will not be disclosed without your informed written consent.
