Hello, my name is Janel Led. Thank you for reading more about me!
Janel’s educational background includes a MA in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University, and a BA in Forensic Psychology from Ontario Tech.
Janel understands how difficult life can be and is fully invested in helping clients to create personalized and meaningful goals. She is also keen on prioritizing and creating a non-judgmental, person-centered, and strength based therapeutic environment for clients. Janel places an emphasis on self-compassion and inner-strength; realizing that self-acceptance is the first step in change. Thus, she is cognizant of each individual’s unique strengths and believes that self-exploration can go a long way in a healing journey.
Janel appreciates a holistic approach to treatment planning, in which she incorporates various approaches unique to the client’s concerns and presentation. Nonetheless, she primarily uses Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches.
Janel is passionate about working with people from all walks of life. She is culturally aware and appreciates each client’s unique perspective.
Janel understands that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest things we do, however, it is also full of courage and endless possibilities!
