About Juwairia
Juwairia Farooque Khan (She/Her)| B.Sc. (Hons.) In Psych
Administrative Support
Hello, my name is Juwairia Khan. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me!
I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from York University, where I specialized in Clinical and Counselling Psychology and Neuropsychology. My academic and professional journey has been guided by a deep curiosity about the brain–behaviour connection and how psychological and neural processes shape human experience.
Currently, I am part of the Administrative and Social Media Support team at One Peace Therapy, where I assist with clinic operations and contribute to mental health content creation that promotes accessibility, awareness, and community engagement. Alongside this, I serve as a Research Intern with the Health Equity Data Initiative (HEDI) at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), supporting pediatric health equity research and patient engagement.
Outside of these roles, I write blogs for Kisa Therapy, where I explore topics at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and Islamic spirituality — translating complex mental health concepts into meaningful, relatable insights. My earlier experiences at the Dubai Center for Special Needs, Thrive: Agents of Change, and a clinical observership at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City have shaped my compassion, cultural awareness, and commitment to inclusive mental health care.
In the future, I aspire to pursue graduate studies in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology, with the goal of becoming a Clinical Neuropsychologist. I aim to bridge neuroscience and therapy to better understand how brain function influences behaviour, emotion, and recovery.
I speak English, Hindi, and Urdu, and I am passionate about fostering empathy, inclusion, and healing across all communities I serve.
