About Taiwo
Taiwo Ayinde (She/Her)| MScP, RP (Qualifying)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hello, my name is Taiwo (pronounced TIE-woh) and I’m glad you’ve found your way here!
There are moments in life when everything can feel heavy, even when things appear steady on the outside. Inside, you may be carrying more than others realize: self-criticism, emotional exhaustion, feeling overlooked, navigating change or loss, or feeling disconnected from yourself. As someone who immigrated many years ago, I understand what it means to keep moving forward while carrying invisible weight and the importance of slowing down and reconnecting with yourself.
I hold a Master of Science in Psychotherapy, a postgraduate certificate in Concurrent Disorders and an Honours Bachelor of Arts. I bring over eight (8+) years of experience supporting individuals and BIPOC communities. My interest in psychotherapy grew from both lived and professional experience.
Therapy with me is collaborative, integrative and holistic. I believe that therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. I see you as a whole person rather than a diagnosis or set of symptoms. My approach draws from CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness and somatic practices within a trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally responsive lens that honours values and connection. I ask thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions, paying attention to what may be held underneath it. Together, we focus on building resilience, deepening insight, strengthening communication, navigating life’s challenges and tracking your progress.
Wherever you find yourself right now, you do not have to carry everything alone. We will create space for healing, so you feel seen, heard and reconnected with yourself as you move through life with greater clarity, compassion and purpose. I see therapy as a journey of healing both the heart and mind. If any part of this resonates with you, I invite you to connect.
